The Connection Between Chakras and Oral Wellbeing
What are Chakras?
In Sanskrit, the word "chakra" means "wheel" or "cycle." Chakras are energy centers in the body that connect the mind, body, and spirit. Seven major chakras run from the base of the spine to the top of the head. Each energy center has its functions and impacts on the body. The Medicine from India, called Ayurveda, is becoming more popular because it focuses on the chakras.
Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine
Western medicine is mostly about taking care of the organ that is affected. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), on the other hand, looks at the whole person and takes a more holistic approach to health and well-being.
Yin and Yang theory
The Yin and Yang hypothesis is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and is a vital part of treating diseases. Yin and Yang are two opposite forces that rule everything. Good health is believed to come from a balance of Yin (negative, dark, and feminine) and Yang (positive, bright, and masculine). For TCM, they are essential for controlling health and illness, making diagnoses, and treating people. Yin and Yang represent opposites that go in cycles and work well together. This theory says that blood gives food to the whole body. Qi (Chi) is also the energy source that makes the circulatory system work better. Thus, blood and Qi are interdependent. In turn, Qi controls how the blood moves.
Energy imbalances in the chakras and their effect on dental and oral problems
TCM texts say that a lack of Yin could cause autoimmune diseases. Discord in any chakra makes the body's heat go down (according to Arndt-Schultz law). When people take too many drugs, their energy levels change, which can cause internal heat to build up.
The Arndt-Schultz law says that potent drugs take away vital energy, while drugs that are diffused (like homeopathic) help the body. The patient's energy level may drop, causing health problems. This heat makes the patient's body lose water, leading to dental issues like dry mouth, gum inflammation, and cavities.
The tongue is one of the most important organs because it shows signs of underlying problems in a way that other organs don't. Any change in color, moisture, coating on the tongue, or shape is a sign of imbalance. Think about the following when you look at your tongue:
Moisture is the state of the body's fluids.
Coating shows how Yang organs, especially the stomach, are doing (thin white coating is considered normal)
Size and shape changes show where Qi is low in a particular organ.
The color indicates the state of the Yin and the Yang.
In the same way, Sjogren's syndrome, a condition that affects the mouth and all the mucosas, is thought to be caused by a lack of energy, specifically liver-kidney Yin deficiency, which makes the mouth and eyes lack nutrients.
New research shows that an imbalance of Chakra energy can cause tooth problems. Dr. Lester Sawicki says that the health of your mouth affects or is affected by the health of your whole body. Teeth may also have something to do with vital organs. The tongue, jaws, and teeth are thus affected by changes in energy channels. Meditation techniques that help balance the body's chakras and make people feel better overall, can help reduce dental problems.
Dr. Sawicki thinks that engaging in any activity compatible with one's energy level can benefit dental health, the body, and the mind. Meditation and exercise, for example, can increase life force energy, strengthen bone mineral density, balance hormones, improve flexibility and cardiovascular function, cleanse organs, and create a sense of fulfillment.
Some ways to treat imbalances include homeopathy to balance the energy centers of the chakras, acupuncture, or Chinese dietary counseling. It is also essential to figure out what is causing the body to heat up or get imbalanced and treat energy deficiencies through good dietary counseling. Based on Chinese nutritional counseling, the amount of energy in different foods helps fix the patient's energy imbalances.
Dental and oral disorders improve healing by addressing the energy imbalances that exist inside the body. The next time you have a dental problem in your mouth, you should examine the energy levels in your body. The signs and symptoms that appear in our bodies reflect the psycho-emotional state of our body and the energy and psychological condition we are in at any given time.
